In today's blog, we give you the necessary tips to heat your home without using heating.

To rely less on heating, there are much more economical solutions. At Hola Pisos, we want to show you some of our effective tricks that will allow you to warm up your home without the need for heating. Try them out in your home!

Tips for heating your home without heating:

Ventilation:

Ventilating the home daily is probably one of the most important practices to keep our air clean, achieve room oxygenation, and prevent toxins in the air from lingering inside our rooms for a long time.

In winter, ventilating the house causes a noticeable drop in temperature throughout the home, so it's essential to choose the right time to do it to minimize heat loss.

The perfect time is in the morning, just when you wake up. It is also advisable to do it during sunny hours, as taking advantage of the rays results in greater heat retention, and the ventilation time should be equal to or greater than 10 minutes.

Sunlight:

If we want to heat a house without heating, we need to make the most of the world's best heater: the sun's warmth. To achieve this, we should keep all blinds up during the day to allow its rays to penetrate as directly as possible. However, we must ensure to seal any hole through which heat could escape.

And, at night, the opposite: we must tightly close the house to prevent the accumulated heat from escaping. The first step is to identify the escape points in our home and then seal them with a simple insulating tape.

Colors:

Colors receive light and heat. The darker a color is, the more heat it absorbs, and the lighter it is, the opposite.

Knowing this, you can use colors to heat your home without heating, whether by painting walls in darker colors, using black armchairs or sofas, or changing curtains.

Warm Clothing:

Finally, it's worth noting that, to stay warm at home, there's nothing like a good blanket.

Among the wide variety of blankets available, those made of fur or synthetic fur provide the best insulation against the cold. However, in areas where the cold is very humid and penetrates the bones, the best option is to use cotton blankets, as they can absorb up to 30% of their own weight in water vapor, preventing the feeling of dampness.
